Learn to Teach Mindfulness Nature Adventures

Teaching Mindfulness Nature Adventures starts with one single step: deepening your own personal connection to nature.

Our ‘Step In’ Mindfulness Nature Adventure Teacher Training is more than educating you how to teach mindfulness. It starts by helping you cultivating and /or deepen your personal mindfulness practices and nature connections. Over six weeks, you will be invited to dive into your innerU to learn and discover how various mindfulness nature practices move you and impact you. This is essential for you to better understand how a mindfulness nature approach will transform your students or children.

This online course will guide you through mindfulness nature-based fundamentals necessary to get you going. Through videos, nature connection practices, guided mindfulness meditations, reading, and journaling, you will have an opportunity to understand form the inside out the benefits your students will gain with such an approach.

Course Objectives

You will be ignited into a rich personal understanding of how to teach mindfulness using a nature-based lens. In addition to learning the fundamentals of mindfulness, you will be invited to deepen these understandings of one’s connection to nature.

You will learn:

  • Tools and techniques to cultivate your own nature-based practices in your daily life.
  • Research behind mindfulness for children and in schools.
  • The power of nature connection and its impact on wellbeing.
  • Neuroscience behind mindfulness and the impact on the brain.
  • The art of regulating our nervous system and the cycle of change.
  • The Art of cultivating happiness and wellbeing.
  • Strategies for cultivating a regular mindfulness practice for yourself and in class.
  • Overview of tools to start your in-class mindfulness practice.

Our Facilitators

The ‘Step In’ Mindfulness Nature Adventure Teacher Training is facilitated by three fabulous mindfulness rock stars who have practiced, studied, and taught mindfulness in various capacities for over 20 years. Anne-Marie Charest, Ph.D., Vivian Valentine, Ph.D., and Harrison Heyl will open your heart and mind with their rich depth of embody understanding, solid research background, and years of teaching nature-based mindfulness practices in schools.
